Special Agent Rachel Kegan of the Intergalactic Department of Justice is sent on an undercover assignment. She must pose as a fighter for the Galactic Cage Fighters Association, GCFA, in order to investigate the disappearances of several human women. In the midst of all the blood and broken bones common in this sport, she finds herself attracted to a half-human, half-alien fighter with an inner beast--literally.
Rage the Animal is angry that a pure human female has been hired to travel on the GCFA tour circuit. No matter what he says or does, or how hard he tries to intimidate the little human, she refuses to quit. Normally he could ignore the human, but something about her stirs his inner beast and leaves the man--unable to resist.

Nope! I don't know what is up with this author. All the males are serial man-whores who miraculously have a change of character when they meet the lead female usually within a matter of days or weeks. While the men have been whoring it up gloriously before meeting the leading ladies, the ladies have had a sh***y romance life or a non-existent one. I abhor this type of setup. It makes me not like the book from the start...sometimes hate the books. Why, Oh, Why, can the leading ladies not have the same glorious experiences beforehand and the males have the crappy experiences or non-existing ones????!?!!!! Huh? Some one answer me that. No! I did not like this book. Even though it had a HEA, it did not make up for first half or more of the book. Prime example: Book 10 Nigel: I hated that book with a passion. Nigel has sex with leading lady immediately leaves for a week. At the end of week, he has sex with woman there because he isn't man enough to own up to his grown up feelings of love. That was BS! I thought I wanted to read Talon's book, but in the blurb, it says he is a man-whore(not exactly like that). In this book, he sounded so sweet. I know it will just piss me off so I won't even bother.Product details

RAGE Galactic Cage Fighter Series Book 1 eBook KD Jones Reviews
I really, really enjoyed reading this, but after reading most of the Prime Series I knew I would, with out a couple of books left to read in the Prime series and not wanting to finish them yet I thought I'd try this series and I'm glad I did Rage and Rachel were fun to watch/read and I always love to watch a "Man-whore" type go from sleeping with every female he can find to one woman he can't get enough of and the whole mate/MINE! Mentality ;)
Can't wait for the next book for poor sweet tortured Talon to get his Lindy back.... I also love how the group are like a family with each other ;)
Let me say right of that this book was wonderful. I was a bit leery at first, but the allure of sci-fi, romance, MMA, and a dash of mystery hooked me. The thing with science fiction (and no matter the genre) you either get it or you don't; you either like it or hate it. There is no real middle ground it seems. So this book will either knock you off your feet or just leave you wishy-washy.
I loved it. Why? The primary characters are well conceived and very well played, as well as the plot AND the secondary characters.( I hope that the author keeps going with this story line and not just to finish Talon's story, but some of the other MMAs as well. All the other fighters deserve their HEA as well). The author also has more than a passing knowledge of MMA fights and what it takes to be a good fighter. Unlike wrestling MMA isn't all for show and games.
Over-all it was a very, very,VERY smexy read. I look forward to more from this line!
More like 2.5 stars. This story is a tough one to review. I'm trying not to judge too harshly, I did just finish a couple of epic erotica stories that blew my mind and by comparison this story does not compare. All of my complaints have to do with the writing and not the story itself. The writing is simplistic and at times redundant ("he smiled a so and so smile." "he laughed a so and so laugh." "he licked...with his tongue."--what else do you lick with?) There were grammatical errors, but I've learned to overlook them-- unless they're completely glaringly obnoxious. My other complaint was the h, I liked her but she could be really annoying at times (whining and I really didn't get the smart cop vibe from her, the mystery pretty much solved itself without her). However, that being said, I did think that the story-line was interesting and I did enjoy and find myself vested in the characters including the secondary characters. I'm tempted to continue the series just because I did find the characters interesting, but I don't think I can handle the writing. My brain kept fading out because of how easy the read was. So if you're looking for an easy read to pass the time, something that doesn't require a lot of attention, then this is the perfect story.
Overall Rating 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
Mixed martial arts, splicing human and alien DNA add intergalactic agents, and you are in for one heck of a romantic interlude in the sizzling fantasy world created by KD Jones. Ms. Jones introduces her readers to this world with her book Rage, in her Galactic Cage Fighter series. There are so many elements within the storyline vying for your attention it allows your imagination to run wild with each turn of the page. I was so enamored with the characters, that I reread the first few chapters to give myself a better visual picture of each one of them. The author painted an image with her words of the various races of aliens, intermixed with humans that was mind blowing and brilliant at the same time. Rage and Rachael's journey to love and happiness, begins when she is sent to locate the culprits that have kidnapped several human woman.
Special Agent Rachael Kegan works for the Intergalactic Department of Justice and she has been chosen to go undercover to help locate and apprehend the villains responsible for kidnapping the missing women. When she passes the test and becomes the first pure human on the circuit, sparks fly between her and the infamous Rage the animal. He is the current reigning champion of the GCFA, the largest sport-fighting promotion company in the universe. His mother was pure human and his father was a beastial alien. He like many other "halfsie" do not trust humans and want nothing to do with them. When his inner beast lays eyes on the beautiful human, it instantly views her as "mine" and thus the games begin between our couple.
Fast, action-packed and full of tantalizing snippets, this story will keep you attentive and wanting more and more. KD Jones' unique characters will enthrall and capture your imagination in their unique world and have you desiring the next installment immediately. Fantastic addition to anyone's library and I highly recommend it for all the sci-fi romantics out there.
